Finding Your True Calling in Midlife
I have heard this time and time again about women in midlife who decide they no longer want to be married.
The woman I am talking about is the woman who raised a family and made sacrifices along the way to do what was right for her family. That may have meant being a stay at home Mom while her husband pursued his career and became successful.
She put aside her dreams for the sake of her family's happiness and well being. Well by the time this woman reaches her 50's, her children are grown and out of the house, her husband's career has flourished, and her job as she knew it is now over. Now what?
Now what is that during menopause many women lose the desire to be the care taker for everyone else. They now feel that this is their time to finally pursue and go after all her heart's desires that would put on the back burner of her life. She is now ready.
In this episode of my podcast, I am speaking with Laurie Leehan who finally decided to accept her gift of mediumship instead of pushing that knowing aside. Laurie mentioned to me that if she had stayed married to her husband, he would not have been okay with her pursing her calling of mediumship.
I am not saying that every women will go through this life altering change, not at all, but the women who felt that sacraficed a lot of their own happiness to put her family first will now feel they are ready for it to be "ME" time.
